Botox

Botox (botulinum toxin in the form of a purified protein) is used to complement cosmetic uses, and as a minimally invasive alternative to surgically treating high lip line cases and aid denture patients who have trouble adjusting to new dentures. It is also used to relieve the pain of temporomabdibular (TMJ) joint syndrome and bruxism which is caused by repetitive behaviors such as teeth grinding or clenching, gum-chewing, fingernail biting or stress that lead to the strain of head and neck muscles. Cosmetically Botox is used to improve the appearance of wrinkles. Dr. Jay Rosenberg trained at the American Academy of Facial Esthetics in Botox.

Bonding & Tooth-Colored Restoration

Bonding and tooth-colored restoration are achieved using resin, a durable plastic material that is applied to teeth and hardened with an ultraviolet light that permanently bonds the material to the teeth. It is sometimes used to replace silver fillings. Since the resin contains fluoride this can help prevent decay. The resin wears like natural teeth.

Inlays & Onlays

Inlays and onlays are used to restore a decayed or damaged tooth to its original condition and can actually strengthen it. They are pre-formed before being bonded onto the tooth or teeth. An inlay is similar to a filling and fits inside the top edges (cusps) of the tooth. An onlay is a more substantial reconstruction and extends out over one or more of the cusps.

Contouring & Reshaping

Contouring and reshaping teeth is a simple cosmetic procedure that can remodel irregular, cracked, crooked and overlapping teeth. Using a laser the dentist shapes teeth by removing a bit of enamel on and around teeth, smoothes and polishes them leaving you with a brand new smile.

Veneers

A veneer is a very thin ceramic shell that covers an existing tooth or teeth that are stained, cracked, misaligned, chipped or that need to have other cosmetic issues resolved.

Whitening & Bleaching

To whiten or bleach teeth a protective gel or rubber shield is applied to the gums. Bleach is then applied to the teeth. A special light or laser might be used to enhance the action of the whitening agent. Preliminary evaluation and a teeth cleaning is recommended prior to treatment.
